4. Turn the Power On.
5. Check the tape running condition at
the entrance and exit sides of the
drum in the modes below.
(a) FWD mode
(1) Activate the remo.exe software and play back
the YR2-1 alignment tape (IDR: 0 to 72000).
(FWD mode)
(2) Press the [F8] key of a PC to enter the
tracking adjustment mode.
(Refer to Section 1-10-5.)
(3) Check that the both output level on the
entrance and exit sides does not become
higher than the output level in the center
portion when the tracking volume control is
operated from the PC.
If the output level on the entrance or exit
sides becomes higher than the output level in
the center portion, perform the adjustment
(on the drum entrance or exit side) in steps 7
and later.
(4) Operate the tracking volume control in the
+
direction from the PC so that the center
portion of an RF envelope waveform makes
80% of the maximum output level. At that
time, confirm that the RF envelope waveform
satisfies specification 1.
If the output level fluctuates, read the average
value. In this case, operate the tracking
volume control from the PC and set the
output level in the center portion of an RF
envelope waveform to the maximum value.
At that time, confirm that the fluctuation
value satisfies specification 2.
If specifications 1 and 2 are not satisfied,
perform the adjustment (on the drum entrance
or exit side) in steps 7 and later.
(5) Press the [F8] key of the PC to terminate the
tracking adjustment mode.
