5-5. CTL/TC Head Height Adjustment

Note

The CTL/TC head height adjustment is closely related to the azimuth adjustment

and head position adjustment.

Be sure to perform adjustments (or checks) according to “In case the adjustment is

performed” in this section when the CTL/TC head height is adjusted.

Equipment

Oscilloscope

PC (IBM PC/AT compatible machine)

For connection of a PC, refer to Section 5-1.

Tools

Alignment tape YR2-1: 8-960-074-11

GY-2120 control software (remo.exe)

Preparation

1. Turn the Power Off

2. Connect the Oscilloscope

CH-1: TP704/EQ-66 board (CTL ANA signal)

TRIG: TP602/EQ-66 board (1/2 VD signal)

3. Set the Alignment Tape

Set the YR2-1 and put a weight (about 1000 g)

on the cassette so that it does not rise up.
