3-3. Drum Block

5. Remove the Upper Drum Assembly

(1) Insert the hexagonal wrench driver from the

screw hole (A) and loosen the screw

completely.

The upper drum assembly is fixed with the four

fixing screws (C3

12) in the screw holes (A).

These screws cannot be removed because of

stoppers.

(2) Attach the upper drum remover to the two

screws holes (B) of the brush-slipring assembly

with two screws.

Check that the projection of the hexagon screw

from remover’s surfase is 1 mm or less.

(3) Turn the hexagon screw of the upper drum

remover clockwise by finger. The upper drum

will be detached from the shaft of the lower

drum slowly.

If the four upper drum securing screws are not

loosened completely and the hexagon screw of

the upper drum remover is rotated, the lower

drum may be damaged.
