Cassette Compartment Motor Check (Servo check command)
Function: Check the function of a cassette compartment motor.

This unit is automatically shifted to the up state if the power is supplied when the compartment
block is in states other than up. In this case, be careful not to interpose your hand or an object.
Operation : (1) Enter command.
* A cassette tape is automatically ejected when it has been inserted into this unit in this case.

Be sure to take out the cassette tape from this unit. A message is also displayed on the screen.
A cassette tape and this unit may be damaged due to the check operation when the cassette
tape exists in the cassette compartment.
(2) Confirm the following. For NG, refer to the next page.

The compartment block comes down when the K key is pressed. At that time, the
display on the screen changes to UP, HORIZ., VERT., then DOWN.
. The compartment block goes up when the J key is pressed. At that time, the display
on the screen changes to DOWN, VERT., HORIZ., then UP.
Key Compartment block movement
J Comes up, and stops in the up state.
K Goes down, and stops in the down state.
Space Stops temporarily.
(3) To terminate a check after returns the compertment block to the up state (press the J
key), press the CTRL and C keys simultaneously.
* When the CTRL and C keys are pressed simultaneously, if the compartment block not returns to the up state,
message “Exit only UP Position” is displayed on the screen.
* If message “[DRIVE TIME OUT]” is displayed, set the compartment block manually to the up state so as to
terminate this command. This command is terminated when the compartment block is manually set to the up
state. Prompt “------>” is then displayed. For how to move the compartment block manually, refer to the next
page.

Power to a motor stops to protect the motor and movable portion when the drive time of the motor
continuously exceeds about six seconds due to its abnormality.
Message “[DRIVE TIME OUT]” is then displayed on the screen.
