Manual PG Adjustment (Servo adjustment command)
Function: Adjusts the PG manually.

For the actual adjustment, an oscilloscope is required.

Oscilloscope setting
Vertical axis of CH1 = 5 V/DIV
Vertical axis of CH2 = 20 mV/DIV
Horizontal axis of CH1 = 5.0 u s/DIV
Trigger = CH1

CH1: TP602/EQ-66 (E-4) 1/2VD
CH2: TP204/EQ-66 (E-6) REC HEAD AC

Set YR2-1 (Alignment Tape)
Are you ready (y/n/else=Eject)? Yes
[KEY] CTRL-C=EXIT

K=DOWN(SLOW)
L=DOWN(FAST)

Operation:
(1) Perform the oscilloscope setting and
connection.
(2) Enter command.
After the title, the following message
is then displayed on the screen.
Set YR2-1 (Alignment Tape)
Are you ready (y/n/else=Eject)?
* To stop the execution of adjustment, press the
N key.
* To eject of cassette tape, press a key except Y
and N.
(3) Insert alignment tape YR2-1 into this unit.
* Do not use tapes other than YR2-1. It is
impossible to perform this adjustment properly
in this case.
* To move the tape address during adjustment
start, use the control panel.
(4) Press the Y key.
* PG data (in hexadecimal) is displayed on the
screen.
* Press the Y key without inserting a tape to
display the message again.
(5) Press the H, J, K, and L keys to
change data.
Observe the oscilloscope and change
data until it meets the specifications.
H : Sets the PG data to
+
10h.
J : Sets the PG data to
+
1h.
K : Sets the PG data to _ 1h.
L : Sets the PG data to _ 10h.
(6) To terminate adjustment, press the
CTRL and C keys simultaneously.
(7) To save adjustment data in the NV-RAM
(Non-volatile RAM), execute command
SV0C (Servo NV-RAM Save).
* After other servo adjustment, servo adjustment
data can be collectively saved in the NV-RAM.
