8.

When putting the removed cassette compartment

outside of the unit, make the four legs for fixing

position faced down.

(Because the flexible card wire might be get damaged

if the cassette lid is faced down.)

Installation

9.

Put the harness of the connector (CN930) disconnected

in step 5 to the place that is not caught between chassis

and cassette compartment.

10. Install the cassette compartment while inserting

slantingly in the direction as shown in the figure.

11. While pressing a portions marked 

C

 (two) of the

cassette compartment as shown in the figure,  insert

the four legs for fixing the positions of the cassette

compartment into the four holes for fixing the

positions of the mechanical chassis.

12. Connect the connector (CN930) on the CL-29 board.

13. After confirming that the cassette compartment is

fixed to the chassis surely , install the bracket

assembly.

Installation of the Cassette Compartment

Take out the tape before removing the cassette compart-

ment when the tape exists in the cassette compartment.

1.

Turn the power OFF.

2.

Remove the upper lid. (Refer to Section 1-1-1.)

3.

Remove the plate MD assembly. (Refer to Section 1-1-1.)

4.

Loosen the two screws and remove the cassette

compartment bracket assembly.

5.

Disconnect the connector (CN930) on CL-29 board.

Removal of the Bracket Assembly

6.

Hold the portions marked 

A

 (two) of the cassette

compartment as shown in the figure and lift straight up

slightly.  Then come off the four legs for fixing

positions of the cassette compartment.

7.

Hold the portion marked 

B

 (one) of the cassette

compartment as shown in the figure and slide the back

and forward by suspending it in the direction of the

arrow.

Then remove the cassette compartment from the unit.

Do not move the cassette compartment to right and

left. If unnecessary force is applied, a gear position

might be changed or some parts might be removed.
