Figure 9-26 Basic positioner with position tracking
Position tracking is only calculated for the active DDS and depends on the EDS data set.
With the EDS-dependent position tracking of the load gearbox, the EDS and the load
gearbox form one entity, i.e. if the same EDS and the same load gearbox is allocated in
multiple DDSs, then the position tracking for this will be the same.
Position tracking can be activated in a DDS with the same EDS, but with another
configuration of the following parameters it cannot be activated:
•
p2504[DDS]
LR motor/load motor revolutions
•
p2505[DDS]
LR motor/load load revolutions
•
p2720[DDS]
Load gearbox configuration
•
p2721[DDS]
Load gearbox, absolute encoder, rotary revolutions, virtual
•
p2722[DDS]
Load gearbox, position tracking, tolerance window
Thus, with a DDS switchover, position tracking is simply continued if position tracking is
activated in both DDSs.
If an EDS is used as a motor encoder in one DDS and as an external encoder in another,
position tracking is reset to the DDS with the motor encoder when the DDS with the external
encoder is reset.
A check is made to determine whether the load gearbox is the same in all DDSs in which this
EDS is being used.
The parameters in the previous tables must each be identical in this case:
If this is not the case, the error message F07555 (drive encoder: position tracking
configuration) is generated.
When the encoder is readjusted, position tracking of the load is also reset.
A switchover is always executed by DDS0.
