802.1Q Tunneling
Note
The attributes within the 802.1Q Tunneling area are active/inactive depending on the selected chassis
device type.
The 802.1Q Tunneling area provides the following information:
•
Mode—Indicates if 802.1Q tunneling is enabled. This list contains the following values:

enabled
–
disabled
•
Protocols—Indicates the protocol tunneling status for each of the following values.
–
cdp—Indicates the cdp tunneling status as enabled or disabled.
–
vtp—Indicates the vtp tunneling status as enabled or disabled.
–
stp—Indicates the stp tunneling status as enabled or disabled.
To edit the protocol tunneling status setting for an interface, select the corresponding button beside
the protocol label. Selecting the button changes the tunneling status for that protocol to disabled.
Deselecting the button changes the tunneling status for the protocol to enabled. The protocol
tunneling status updates accordingly and the status displays beside each option.

BPDU Filtering—Displays the BPDU filtering setting for the interface. This setting is one of the
following values:

Enabled
–
Disabled
–
Default
–
None
If BPDU filtering is not supported on the device, ‘Not Applicable’ displays.
•
Thresholds
–
Protocol—Indicates the selected thresholding protocol through the drop down list.
–
Drop—Indicates the drop threshold in PDUs/sec.
–
Shutdown—Indicates the shutdown threshold in PDUs/sec.
•
Enable—Enables 802.1Q tunneling on the interface.
•
Disable—Disables 802.1Q tunneling on the interface.
