CAPI User Concept
User name and
password
The CAPI user concept is used to check access to the

service. This
ensures that only users entered with a user name and password can use
X3200
’s CAPI services.
Example
This means, for example, that an incoming fax for the user Winnetou is only
passed to Winnetou and not to a user such as Old Shatterhand, who is located
in the same LAN. If the CAPI user concept is not used (see
chapter 5.1.4,
page 112
), all incoming calls passed to the CAPI service are offered to all CAPI
applications in the LAN. The first user to respond receives the call. So if Old
Shatterhand is quicker off the mark ...
