contains settings for X.31 TEI (see
chapter 6.2.4, page 192 ).
If you use an X.31 leased line, you can also implement a backup solution using
the Bandwidth on Demand feature ( chapter 6.2.3, page 186 ). If you use this fa-
cility, a dialup connection is set up to the connection partner if the leased line
fails.
5.1.5 Configuring the High-Speed Internet Interface
ADSL To be able to use ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) with X3200 , you
must configure a PPP-over-Ethernet for the high-speed Internet interface of
your X3200 . This is done by connecting X3200 to, e.g.,

T-DSL , which is
the

ADSL connection of Deutsche Telekom AG ( chapter 3.1, page 32 and
chapter 5.2.2, page 155 ).
Make sure you enter the right number under Number, i.e. the number that
actually arrives at X3200 ! For example, if X3200 is connected to a

PABX ,
only the PABX extension number arrives at X3200 .
If you are not sure which number arrives at X3200 , proceed as follows:

Call X3200 with a conventional telephone using one of its extension num-
bers.
