3.5 Configuring X3200 Under Windows
You started the Configuration Wizard in chapter 3.3, page 41 , which you can
now use to configure X3200 . X3200 must first be ready for operation.
The following configuration options are available:

Basic router configuration
■
Internet access
■
Corporate network connection
An extensive online Help Assistant is available if you have any questions dur-
ing configuration. To activate our context-sensitive online Help Assistant:

Press F1 or click Help.
If you have already used the Configuration Wizard to create a configuration,
the Wizard can adopt the preset values. At the end of the configuration, the Wiz-
ard transfers the new configuration file to the router and also saves it to your PC.
You can also save the original configuration file of X3200 at the end of the con-
figuration on the router (under old_cfg), as long as you have not forgotten the
password.
If you are operating X3200 on a point-to-point connection, an entry must be
made in Setup Tool in addition to the settings under Wizard. In

, set the mode for the comparison of num-
bers to
left to right (DDI). The Wizard does not make these settings automati-
cally as this is not the default setting. See also chapter 5.1.4, page 112 .
