Step 4
In order to optimize the appearance of the menus in the Craft Con-
sole, do as follows:
a) Expand the Connection item in the Category section.
b) Select the Data item.
c) Type
vt100
in the Terminal-type string field in the Terminal details
section.
Step 5
To save the settings you have just made to PuTTY so they will appear
automatically the next time you start PuTTY, do as follows:
a) Select the Session item in the Category section.
b) Enter a name for this particular configuration of PuTTY in the
Saved Sessions
field in the Load, save or delete a session section,
for example SSH. Alternatively, select the Default Settings item in
the Saved Sessions list to make this configuration the default one.
c) Select the Save button in the Load, save or delete a session sec-
tion.
Step 6
If there is a specific NE you want to store the details of how to connect
to, you should create a saved session. For that, do as follows:
a) Select the Session item in the Category section.
b) Enter the IP address of the NE in the Host Name field.
c) Enter a name for this host and configuration of PuTTY in the
Saved Sessions
field in the Load, save or delete a session section.
d) Select the Save button in the Load, save or delete a session sec-
tion.
