It is assumed that you are familiar with ESD-prevention precautions that should
be taken to avoid ESD damage to the equipment.
Tools and Parts Required
• 1 x ETSI bracket pair
• 4 x screws M5x10 for fixing the ETSI brackets
• Torx screwdriver TX25 (for screws M5x10)
• ESD-preventive wrist strap or other personal earthing devices
• Suitable grounded surface or an antistatic mat for placing the shelf
Figure 38 shows an ETSI bracket.

To fit an ETSI adaptor bracket perform the following steps:
Procedure
Step 1 Take the 40CSM/2HU shelf out of its shipping box and put it on a
grounded surface or an antistatic mat.
Step 2 Take the ETSI brackets and the four screws out of the plastic bags
(as supplied in the rack-mount kit).
Step 3 Place the appropriate ETSI bracket on one side of the shelf in the cor-
rect position as illustrated in
Figure 39 . The two threaded holes in the
shelf side panel and the mounting holes of the bracket should line up.
CAUTION
Only Service Personnel are allowed to perform this procedure.
Ensure that you are grounded with a wrist strap or equivalent while
mounting the brackets to a shelf which contains ESD-sensitive
devices.
