Creating a Serial PuTTY Connection

This section summarizes using the terminal emulation program PuTTY to 
access the NE through a serial connection.

PuTTY is free available via Web at http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgta-
tham/putty/download.html.

Procedure

Step 1

Start PuTTY by double-clicking the

 putty.exe

 file, or by clicking the 

 icon, if you have created a desktop shortcut. In response the 

“PuTTY Configuration” window appears.
