Tools and Parts Required
•
1 x FIBER FINGER/2HU (is not delivered with the 40CSM/2HU Shelf and
has to be ordered separately) or
•
1 x FIBER FINGER/2HU LEFT (is not delivered with the
40CSM-FL/2HU-#19590-#19200 shelf and has to be ordered separately)
•
1 x right-hand side ETSI or NEBS bracket for any 40CSM/2HU Shelf (is
delivered in the rackmount kit of the shelf) or
1 x left-hand side ETSI or NEBS bracket for the
40CSM-FL/2HU-#19590-#19200 shelf (is delivered in the rackmount kit of
the shelf)
•
2 x M5x10 screws for attaching the FIBER FINGER/2HU or FIBER FIN-
GER/2HU LEFT with the appropriate bracket to the shelf side panel (are
delivered in the rackmount kit of the shelf)
•
Torx screwdriver TX25 (for screws M5x10)
•
ESD-preventive wrist strap or other personal earthing devices
•
Suitable grounded surface or an antistatic mat for placing the shelf
To attach a FIBER FINGER/2HU or FIBER FINGER/2HU LEFT to the appropri-
ate shelf, perform the following steps:
Procedure
Step 1
Remove the 40CSM/2HU shelf from its shipping box and place it on a
grounded surface or an antistatic mat.
Step 2
Take the right-hand side ETSI or NEBS bracket out of the plastic
bags.
For the 40CSM-FL/2HU-#19590-#19200 shelf: Take the left-hand
side ETSI or NEBS bracket out of the plastic bags.
Step 3
Position the bracket on the right-hand side of the 40CSM/2HU Shelf.
For the 40CSM-FL/2HU-#19590-#19200 shelf: Position the bracket
on the left-hand side of the shelf.
The two threaded holes in the shelf side panel and the mounting
holes of the bracket should line up.
Step 4
Take the FIBER FINGER/2HU or FIBER FINGER/2HU LEFT and
place it on the bracket by lining up the mounting holes. The open slots
must face toward the front as illustrated in
Step 5
Using the fixing screws, attach the FIBER FINGER/2HU or FIBER
FINGER/2HU LEFT with the appropriate bracket to the shelf as fol-
lows:
a) Insert a M5x10 screw through a mounting hole in the bracket into
the threaded hole in the shelf side panel.
b) Insert a second M5x10 screw through the remaining mounting
hole in the bracket into the threaded hole in the shelf side panel.
c) Tighten the screws with a
Torx screwdriver TX25.
