End of Procedure

Earthing the ROADM-C40/40/OPM-3HU/2DC Shelf 

Earthing the ROADM-C40/40/OPM-3HU/2DC shelf is fulfilled by installing a 
10-gauge earthing conductor from each shelf to an earth point connector on the 
rack. Follow the procedure below to earth the ROADM-C40/40/OPM-3HU/2DC 
shelf.

 

Procedure

Step 1

Mount the supplied 10-gauge green earthing wire with the two-hole 
lug to one set of the dual threaded posts on the 
ROADM-C40/40/OPM-3HU/2DC. Use the supplied nuts and star 
washers as shown in 

Figure 63

.

Note

One extra mounting screw is normally shipped with each shelf. If you 
have a screw left over at this stage, discard it or store it for future use.

Note

The shelves shall reliably and permanently be connected to the earth 
point of the rack.
