Unpacking a 1HU Shelf
This section describes how to unpack a 1HU shelf.
A 1HU shelf may be a SH1HU-F/2DC, SH1HU-HP/2DC, SH1HU-R or
SH1HU-R/PF.
Tools Required
You need utility scissors or a utility knife to open the cardboard box. Suitable
grounded surface or an anti-static mat for placing the shelf must be available.
Procedure
To unpack a 1HU shelf perform the following steps:
Step 1
Move the cardboard box with the 1HU shelf to the location where the
shelf will be installed.
Step 2
Open the cardboard box on the upper side only as follows:
a) Using a utility knife or scissors, cut open the adhesive tape. Pay
attention not to damage the flaps.
b) Lift the flaps towards you so that the box is open completely.
CAUTION
Only Service Personnel are allowed to unpack a 1HU shelf.

Make sure that the shipping box has been in the installation location
for a minimum period of 24 hours to avoid thermal shock and surface
condensation when unpacking.
