THE MAU AND ITS COMPONENTS ARE ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE SENSITIVE (ESDS). MAKE SURE
THAT YOU USE ESDS PROCEDURES THAT WILL PROTECT THE MAU AND ITS COMPONENTS FROM
ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE.
CAUTION
DO NOT TOUCH THE PINS OF THE MAU CONNECTORS OR THE PINS OF THE COMPONENT
CONNECTORS. THE ESDS COMPONENTS COULD BE DAMAGED OR THEIR PERFORMANCE
DEGRADED.
CAUTION
THE AIR OUTLET SCREEN THAT COVERS THE MAU FANS CAN BE DAMAGED EASILY. BE CAREFUL
NOT TO DAMAGE THE SCREEN WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE MAU OR A FAN.

MAU Modules
This is a general procedure for these different types of replaceable modules in the MAU Figure 1 [1]:
−
Power Supply (PS) module, the applicable MAU slots are mechanically keyed for a PS module
only
−
Network Interface Controller (NIC) module, the applicable MAU slots are mechanically keyed for a
NIC module only
−
Dual-channel Generic Input/Output (GIO) module
−
Dual-channel Custom Input/Output (CSIO) module
−
Single-channel Actuator Input/Output and Processor (AIOP) module
−
Single-channel Advanced Graphics Module (AGM).
