Open the access panel 12HZ.

Energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
2.4
Wait two minutes to allow the radar altimeter system to stabilize.
2.5
Make sure the radar altitude is shown on the pilot Primary Flight Display (PFD) and the optional copilot
PFD (if installed). Make a note of the reading.
2.6
On the connector face of the radar altimeter transmitter/receiver, find the small hole for the internal
calibration switch.
2.7
Use an Insert/extract tool (Pt.No. M15570-20) to press and hold the internal calibration switch for ten
seconds. Remove the tool.
2.8
Make sure that after the tool is removed, the radar altitude display on the PFD shows zero feet.
2.9
De-energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
2.10
Close the access panel 12HZ.
2.11
Install the center carpet:

Operational Test
3.1
Energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
3.2
Close this circuit breaker:
−
RAD ALT 1 (AVIONIC 1 BUS).
3.3
Wait two minutes to allow the radar altimeter system to stabilize.
3.4
Make sure that the radar altitude digital display on the Primary Flight Display (PFD) shows 0 feet.
3.5
If the radar altitude digital display does not show 0 feet, do the height calibration procedure, Step 2.
3.6
De-energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
4
Function Test
4.1
Connect the aircraft Maintenance box (Pt.No. T45-005).
4.2
Set the AIR/GND switch on the maintenance box to AIR.
4.3
Open and install a Safety clip - Circuit breaker hold open (Pt.No. T12-030) on this circuit breaker:

RAD ALT 1 (AVIONIC 1 BUS).
4.4
Remove the center carpet:

4.5
Open the access panel 12HZ.
4.6
Disconnect electrical connector A269P1 from the radar altimeter transmitter/receiver.
4.7
Connect the radar altimeter end of the break-in cable Break-in cable (Pt.No. Local supply) to the radar
altimeter transmitter/receiver.
4.8
Connect the other end of the break-in cable to electrical connector A269P1.
4.9
4.10
Set the DC power supply to give an output of 1.25 VDC. Do not turn the power supply ON.
