Put the firewire Figure 5 [1] in position on the engine.

Make sure that all the insulators are in the correct position and close the all clamps to hold the firewire

Install the bracket Figure 5 [57] and transmitter Figure 5 [58] on the accessory gearbox Figure 5 [55]
with the two nuts Figure 5 [56].

Torque the nuts Figure 5 [56] to between 3,6 and 4,0 Nm (32 and 36 lbf in).

If necessary, attach the exhaust clamps Figure 5 [2] to the firewire Figure 5 [1].

Install the Compressor Wash Kit

This is necessary for post Service Bulletin 71-012 aircraft only.

Loosen the screw Figure 4 [4] and the nut Figure 4 [6] that holds the firewire clamp Figure 4 [2] on the
bracket Figure 4 [5].
3.5.3
Turn the firewire clamp Figure 4 [2] 180° and tighten the screw Figure 4 [4] and the nut Figure 4 [6]
that holds the firewire clamp Figure 4 [2] on the bracket Figure 4 [5].
3.5.4
CAUTION
DO NOT KINK THE FIREWIRE WHEN YOU MOVE IT. IF THE FIREWIRE IS KINKED IT MUST
BE REPLACED.
Carefully move the firewire and insulator Figure 4 [1] into the clamp Figure 4 [2].
