Set the torque wrench to 2300 lb in. (260 Nm) plus the run-down torque measured in Step 2.2.30.
Torque tighten the nut Figure 3 [18] as necessary within the torque limit to align with the next cotter pin
hole.

If the cotter pin hole position is not available within the torque limit, use a new nut Figure 3 [18] and do
Step 2.2.30 thru Step 2.2.32 again.

Install a new cotter pin Figure 3 [19].

Install the spring pack assembly, refer to AMM 12-B-32-10-06-00A-920A-A.

Connect the MLG actuator to the MLG drag link, refer to AMM 12-B-32-30-01-00A-920B-A.

Make sure that the bushes Figure 1 [3] and Figure 1 [5] are serviceable and installed correctly.

Put the connecting rod Figure 1 [1] into position in the MLG door fitting Figure 1 [4].

Install the bolt Figure 1 [2], washer Figure 1 [6] and nut Figure 1 [7].

Close Up
3.1
Remove the safety clips and close these circuit breakers:
−
FLAP (LEFT POWER JUNCTION BOX)
−
LDG GEAR PWR (RH POWER JUNCTION BOX).
3.2
Energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
3.3
Set the flaps to zero degrees.
3.4
WARNING
MAKE SURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR OF PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU
OPERATE THE LANDING GEAR. THE LANDING GEAR MOVES QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
Set the handle of the landing gear control-unit to DOWN.

Make sure the landing gear is down.

Open and install a safety clip on this circuit breaker:

LDG GEAR PWR (RH POWER JUNCTION BOX).

Check the adjustment of the MLG down microswitch, refer to AMM 12-B-32-60-00-00A-903B-A.
3.8
Do the operational test of the extension and retraction system, refer to AMM 12-B-32-30-00-00A-
903B-A.

Do the adjustment/test of the MLG and doors, refer to AMM 12-B-32-10-00-00A-903B-A .

Remove the safety clip and close this circuit breaker:

LDG GEAR PWR (RH POWER JUNCTION BOX).

Remove all the equipment, tools and materials from the work area. Make sure that the work area is
clean.
3.12
Do the operational test of the emergency gear extension system, refer to AMM 12-B-32-30-10-00A-
903A-A.
3.13
Do the adjustment/test of the landing light, refer to AMM 12-B-33-40-00-00A-903A-A.
3.14
De-energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
