3.4
Apply Anti seize compound (Pt.No. P04-010) to the threads and bearing surfaces of the bolts
Figure 1 [5] and nuts Figure 1 [1].
Note
Use only inconel bolts with coated nuts.
Note
Each brake unit must have either all inconel bolts and coated nuts, or all current bolts and current nuts.
Refer to Goodrich SB 2-1674-32-2 for details.
3.5
Install the brake assembly Figure 1 [4] on the axle Figure 1 [10] with the six bolts Figure 1 [5] and nuts
Figure 1 [1]. Torque each nut as follows:
3.5.1
Initially torque to 26 Nm (230 lbf in). Do this in a diagonal opposite sequence.
3.5.1.1
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-105) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-095) adjust the torque
wrench to 24 Nm (212 lbf.in).
3.5.1.2
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-106) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-096) adjust the torque
wrench to 23 Nm (205 lbf.in).
3.5.2
Then torque to 46,8 Nm (415 lbf in). Apply the torque in one continuous movement. Do this in a
clockwise sequence.
3.5.2.1
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-105) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-095) adjust the torque
wrench to 43 Nm (382 lbf.in).
3.5.2.2
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-106) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-096) adjust the torque
wrench to 42 Nm (370 lbf.in).
3.5.3
Torque the nuts again to make sure that the final torque value is 46,8 Nm (415 lbf in ).
3.5.3.1
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-105) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-095) adjust the torque
wrench to 43 Nm (382 lbf.in).
3.5.3.2
If you use Adaptor (Pt.No. T32-106) together with Torque wrench (Pt.No. T32-096) adjust the torque
wrench to 42 Nm (370 lbf.in ).
3.5.4
If you use any other applicable Torque Wrench Adaptor (Pt.No. Local supply) and Torque
wrench (Pt.No. Local supply) calculate the applicable torque range using the standard torque values
42,9 and 44,0 Nm (380 and 390 lbf in) and torque the six nuts Figure 1 [1] to the calculated torque
range, refer to AMM 12-B-20-20-01-00A-040A-A.
3.5.5
If you install inconel bolts and coated nuts for the first time:
3.5.5.1
Loosen all the nuts to zero torque.
3.5.5.2
Do Step 3.5.1 thru Step 3.5.3 again.
3.6
Lockwire the bolt heads in pairs with Lockwire (Pt.No. P02-001).
3.7
Connect the pipe Figure 1 [11] to the union Figure 1 [9].
3.8
Tighten the locknut Figure 1 [8].
3.9
Release the parking brake handle.
3.10
Bleed the brakes, refer to AMM 12-B-32-40-00-00A-902A-A.
3.11
Install the main wheel, refer to AMM 12-B-32-40-01-00A-920A-A.

Close Up
4.1
Remove all the equipment, tools and materials from the work area. Make sure that the work area is
clean.
4.2
Remove the safety clip and close the circuit breaker:
