3.1.2
Open the engine cowling 43AR.
3.1.3
Remove the lockwire and disconnect plug A030P1 from the propeller de-ice timer A030 and connect
the Propeller de-ice test set (Pt.No. T30-010) between the timer and the aircraft wiring.
3.1.4
Make sure that all the jumpers are installed on the propeller de-ice test set.
3.1.5
Open and install a Safety clip - Circuit breaker hold open (Pt.No. T12-030) on this circuit breaker:
−
STARTER (ESSENTIAL BUS).
3.1.6
Remove jumpers
D
,
E
and
F
from the propeller de-ice test set.
3.1.7
Connect a Decade resistance box (Pt.No. Local supply) or an OAT simulator (Pt.No. T30-005)
between sockets
D
and
E
, identified as “→ DE-ICE TIMER” on the propeller de-ice test set.
3.1.8
Install a jumper between socket
E
and
F
, identified as "--> DE-ICE TIMER" on the propeller de-ice test
set.
Note
The output (B) from the OAT sensor is spliced and goes to the Prop De-Ice Timer
E
and
F
.
3.1.9
Remove jumpers
G
,
H
and
J
from the propeller de-ice test set.
3.1.10
Connect a Decade resistance box (Pt.No. Local supply) or an OAT simulator (Pt.No. T30-005)
between sockets
G
and
H
, identified as “→ DE-ICE TIMER” on the propeller de-ice test set.
3.1.11
Install a jumper between socket
H
and
J
, identified as "--> DE-ICE TIMER" on the propeller de-ice test
set.
Note
The output (B) from the OAT sensor is spliced and goes to the Prop De-Ice Timer
H
and
J
.
3.1.12
Set each decade resistance box to 91.8 ohms (equivalent to -21 °C) or each OAT simulator to -21 °C.
3.1.13
Make sure that the area around the propeller is clear of objects.
3.1.14
Open access panel 12QZ.
3.1.15
Connect the Maintenance box (Pt.No. T45-005) to the maintenance panel test connectors.
3.1.16
Make sure that the Maintenance Box AIR/GND switch is set to GND.
3.1.17
Energize the aircraft electrical system, refer to AMM 12-B-24-00-00-00A-901A-A.
3.2
Procedure
Note
The aircraft is on the ground (weight on wheels) for this procedure.
3.2.1
Set the ICE PROTECTION- PROPELLER switch to ON.
3.2.2
On the lower MFD make sure that:
−
The CAS PROPELLER DE ICE caution message comes ON
−
The ICE PROTECTION window PROPELLER green caption is OFF.
