Procedure
1
General
The passenger/crew door is locked with six shoot bolts, which all engage in striker plates. The shoot
bolts are adjusted to operate in sequence, the lower shoot bolts engage first. These pull the door in
and move the center and upper shoot bolts into position so that they can engage in their striker plates.
The door locking mechanism is sensitive to the alignment of the shoot bolts and striker plates. This
can effect the hand force necessary to operate the door handle.
