9.2 PSA-24 Communication Monitor
Power Supply Unit: PSA-24 possesses a feature to monitor the status data from a host device
as a preventive maintenance feature in purpose of improving efficiency of
management and maintenance for equipment.
For the preventive maintenance features equipped on PSA-24 other than status data monitor,
refer to [PSA-24 Instruction Manual (ME0379)].
[How to Establish Connection]
SEL Unit to PSA-24 in order to monitor the status data of the power source via RSEL.
If it is preferred to monitor the status data using the PC software establish the connection using
the USB interface on RSEL.

How to Connect with PSA-24
* Use the following complied cables for PSA-24 communication wiring.

Caution
●
Use cables with cable diameter that has larger allowable current than the current
volume to be used.
There could be a concern of communication failure if using thinner cables than the
complied cable diameter. Also, make sure to use twisted pair cables for the differential
lines.
●
A communication line on one unit of PSA-24 is not available for connecting to multiple
SEL units.
Connecting to multiple units should generate the alarm of “22E Power Supply Unit
Communication Error”.
