Configuring Node Records
A Node record must be created for each FRX8000 Switch, ICP, and INM, as well as
every N7400 and N7500, in the network. To configure a record, press
[A]
, then
[C]
from the Nodes Selection Menu ( Figure 5-1 ). When prompted, enter:

Node ID : 1–250
. (Default is the “local” node.) Each node has a unique ID that was
assigned during software installation.

Any other requested information, noting the values in Table 5-1 . (Press
[Enter]
at a prompt to accept the default.)
The resulting display will depend on whether the node is an FRX8000 (Figure 5-2) or
N7000 (74/7500) (Figure 5-3).

Item E is displayed only if Node Type is 1 .
The text following each node’s ID at items B and E–M is the
Description in that node’s Node record.
The parameters displayed by pressing [1] are listed in Table 5-1 .
