Introduction to Database Configuration 3-13
If you experience problems on the network, the following procedure might help solve
them:
1. Review the status messages (described in Chapter 17 ) on the printer.
2. If the problem is not apparent from the messages, print a configuration report. It
might contain warnings and errors caused by inaccuracies or inconsistencies in
your database information. (Although the software notifies you when you make
invalid configuration entries, it sometimes accepts them.)
3. Check all database parameters and make any necessary changes.
4. Print another configuration report. Check it for warnings, and compare it against
the first report.
SVC Subscriber Report
An SVC Subscriber Report consists of the configured values for all database param-
eters for all Subscriber IDs associated with one or all nodes.
You can create this report and display it on the local screen, print it, or save it to a file
for later use. To do so:
1. Press [B] at the Reports Menu (or [G], [B] from the Main Menu).
2. When prompted, enter the ID of the node whose subscribers you want in the
report. Note that pressing [Enter] selects the default of All Nodes.
3. You will be prompted: Display Opt. P, F, V :

To print the report, type p [Enter] .

To save the report to a file, type f [Enter] . When prompted for a file
specification, enter a file name for the report.
●
To display the report on the screen, type v [Enter] .
PVC Report
A PVC Report consists of the configured values for all database parameters for all
PVCs associated with one or all nodes. You can create this report and display it on the
local screen, print it, or save it to a file for later use.
1. Press
[C]
at the Reports Menu (or
[G], [C]
from the Main Menu).
2. When prompted, enter the ID of the node whose PVCs you want in the report.
Notice that pressing
[Enter]
selects the default of
All Nodes
.
3. You will be prompted:

. When prompted for a file specification,
enter a file name for the report.
