cation.) If the Clear Retransmit Count expires, restart and recovery procedures should
be initiated.
DTE Reset Re-xmit Count
is the number of times a Reset Request from the logical DTE will be transmitted. (The
DTE will stop issuing the request on receipt of a Reset Confirmation, Reset Indication,
or Clear Request.) If the Reset Retransmit Count expires, restart and recovery proce-
dures should be initiated.
DTE Restart Re-xmit Count
is the number of times a Restart Request from the logical DTE will be transmitted.
(The DTE will stop issuing the request on receipt of a Restart Confirmation or Restart
Indication.) If the Restart Retransmit Count expires, restart and recovery procedures
should be initiated.
X.25 Database Defaults
Default Low SVC LCN
determines the default number to be used for the lowest value in the Lowest Incoming/
Two-way/Outgoing Channel parameters in the Port file. LCN 0 is reserved for
network applications. The range of valid LCNs for a subscriber is also influenced by
the type of subscriber device.
Default Packet Size
determines the default value for the Default Packet Size parameter in the Port Config-
uration file.
Modulus
is a number for values used in X.25 level-2 sequenced packets. The actual frame num-
bering is 0–7 for modulo 8 and 0–127 for modulo 128.
Default Window Size
determines the default value for the
Default Window Size
parameter in the Port Config-
uration file.
Incoming Address Check
is used to verify that the calling address in an incoming Call Request packet matches
an address specified in the database for the originating port. If set to
Y
and the
incoming packet has an invalid calling address, the call will be cleared.
Bandwitch Configuration Parameters
Pct of Bandw. - Grp “n”
is used in conjunction with
Priority for Group “n”
to create bandwidth allocation groups
for regulation of trunk traffic and traffic sharing frame relay DLCIs. See “
Bandwidth
Allocation Groups for Trunks
” on page 4-8.
Priority for Group “n”
allows setting a priority for traffic within each of the bandwidth allocation groups
defined in this file; the higher the number, the higher the priority. The priority is gen-
erally applied to traffic that exceeds the specified percent of bandwidth.
