Mainframe Learn Check
As standard the VAR Router is configured to check if the ‘Learn’ function has been performed following a
power cycle or a fault clearance. If no mainframes are configured at all, then a fault will be raised. This is to
prevent the ‘Learn’ step from being omitted when VAR Routers are swapped out on site, and as
consequence, the mainframe and amplifier related faults not being reported.
It is possible to disable this fault when required, for example when the VAR Router is being used with non-
ASL amplifiers.
In order to modify the Frame Learn Check fault reporting proceed as follows.

The VAR Router checks if a ‘Learn’ has been performed. If no mainframes are configured, then a
new fault is raised. This should be the setting when any amplifier mainframe is connected to the
VAR Router.
•
Frame Learn Check suppressed
The VAR Router does not check if a Learn has been performed. Therefore no fault will be reported.
Default values: ‘Frame Learn Check enabled’
3. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
The system will return to the parent menu after 3 seconds.
