12.3.1
Enabling/Disabling the ANS and Setting the Attack Time
In order to enable or disable the ANS sensor from controlling an output, proceed as follows.
1. Select

2. From V4.1.0470 or later, move to, and select the
Configuration
menu item.
[Configuration] Induction Loop
3. Scroll the output list and select the required output:
[O/P #1 - OUTPUT 01]
Default value:
output 1
Outputs:
4 outputs for VAR4
12 outputs for VAR12
20 outputs for VAR20
Note:
The output name is shown on the right side of the display. The output name above is the
output 1 default name, however this may have been changed according to each site’s
configuration.
Outputs 3, 4, 11, 12, 19, and 20 may have been configured as induction loop output, in which
case, please refer to Section “
13 Induction Loop Configuration
”.
4. Move to, and select the
ANS
menu item.
Level EQ [ANS] Surv Override Name
5. Move to, and toggle to the required ANS option:
[Off] Thresholds Attack 20

[Off]
Disables the ANS function on the selected output.

[On]
Enables the ANS function on the selected output.
Default value:
‘Off’
Note:
Even if the ANS function is enable, the ANS function is only active if the output has been
assigned to an ANS sensor; see Section “
16.2.5 Configuring an Analogue Input as
Ambient Noise Sensor (ANS)
”.
6. Move to, and scroll the possible attack times until the required value is displayed:
Off Thresholds [Attack 20]
Default value:
‘20’
Possible values: 0 to 99 (100th sec/dB)
7. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
