18.2.4 Viewing
the
Contact Status
This function enables the user to view the physical contact state (operated or not operated) on the VAR
Router and on each Remote I/O unit. This enables the user to verify the route status from the VAR Router
front panel

Viewing the VAR Router Base Unit Contact Status
In order to view the state of contacts on the VAR Router Base Unit proceed as follows.
1. Select

A:0000010001 D:010010000000 PTT:0 0
Where:
A: Analogue contacts 1 to 10
D: Digital (opto-isolated) contacts 11 to 22
0 = contact open, inactive
1 = contact close, active
3. The system remains monitoring whilst within this menu and finishes when the menu times out or the
BACK is pressed.

Viewing the VAR Router Expand Unit Contact Status
In order to view the state of contacts on the VAR Router Expand Units proceed as follows.
1. Select

2. Move to, and scroll the Expand Unit list until the required unit is displayed in the middle field:
Master [Slave-1] Remote
Where:
Slave-1: Expand Unit 1 on the VAR12 and VAR20
Slave-2: Expand Unit 2 on the VAR20
Note:
The Slave menu option is not present on the VAR4.
3. The current physical state for the VAR Router Expand Unit contacts is displayed:
C:00000000000000000000
Where:
C: Digital (opto-isolated) contacts 23 to 42 on VAR12 or VAR20 Expand Unit 1, or contacts 43 to 62
on VAR20 Expand Unit 2
0 = contact open, inactive
1 = contact close, active
4. The system remains monitoring whilst within this menu and finishes when the menu times out or the
BACK is pressed.
