Configuring an Loudspeaker Line Earth Leakage Monitoring
The loudspeaker line connected to an amplifier can be monitored for resistance to earth by an ASL LSDIC or
LSDDC Surveillance Interface Card. An earth leakage fault will be reported when the measured resistance is
below the threshold value.

Loudspeaker line earth leakage monitoring is required by BS5839.
In order to configure the earth leakage monitoring proceed as follows.
1. Select

2. Scroll and select a mainframe from the configured mainframe list:
[Frame#nn - ]
Default values: n.a.
Note:
If no mainframe is configured, then a warning message will be displayed.
The mainframe description will be shown on the right side of the display, if defined.
3. Move to, scroll, and select a slot from the slot list:
Commission Description Temp [Slot#n]
Default values: ‘Slot#1’
Possible slots: 1 to 4
Note:
If the selected slot is not configured, then a warning message will be displayed.
4. Select
the
Earth
menu item:
Description AC Level DC Line [Earth]
5. Toggle to the required option:
[Not Surv]

Not Surv
The earth leakage resistance will not be surveyed. Therefore no eath leakage fault will be reported.

Surveyed
A fault will be reported if the earth leakage resistance is above the preset limit.
Default values: ‘Not Surv’
6. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
The system will return to the parent menu after 3 seconds.
