Induction Loop Parameter Configuration
13.6.1
Configuring the Induction Loop Type
In order to configure the induction loop type proceed as follows.
1. Select

2. Scroll the output list and select the required induction loop output:
[O/P #1 - OUTPUT 01]
Default value:
output 1
Outputs:
4 outputs for VAR4
12 outputs for VAR12
20 outputs for VAR20
Note:
Not all of the VAR Router’s outputs can be configured to support Induction Loops;
Table 14
details the possible induction loop output allocation.
The output name is shown on the right side of the display. The output name above is the
output 1 default name, however this may have been changed according to each site’s
configuration.
3. Move to, and select the
Ind Loop
menu item.
Level [Ind Loop] Surv Override Name
4. Scroll the induction loop types until the required value is displayed:
[Ind Loop Type = Panel]
Induction Loop panels typically installed in Ticket Hall, platform, concourse, and passageways.
An example is the ASL ILP01 Induction Loop Panel.

For applications where low frequency cut is required. The equalisation gain setting provides the
gain reduction for the selected band; see Section “
13.6.2 Equalisation Configuration
”.
Default value:
‘Panel’
5. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
Proceed with the induction loop configuration in the following sections according to the selected type.
