Configuring a Contact as Unused

Any contact that is not in use should be configured as unused to prevent inappropriate fault
report, as described in the following steps.

2. Move to, and scroll the contact list until the required contact is displayed in the left field:

‘Contact#01’

Contact numbers: 01 to 22 for VAR4

01 to 42 for VAR12

01 to 62 for VAR20

Where contacts: 00 to 10 are analogue

11 to 62 are opto-isolated

3. Move to, and scroll the operation options until the ‘Not-Conf’ option is displayed:

Routing

The contact is used to trigger a latent route.

External Fault

The contact is used as an external fault input.

Remote Fault Accept

The contact is used as the ‘Accept’ for a remote fault panel acting as a local fault accept button
affecting only the remote indication.

Reset Contact

This contact was specified to act as the ‘reset’ contact of a contact configured to trigger a latched
latent route. It is not configurable from this sub-menu.

Music Select

This contact was selected as a control to switch between Music A and Music B phono inputs. It is
not configurable from this sub-menu.

9.2 Contact Music Selector Configuration

”.

4. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.

Make sure the selected contact is not used. Once the SELECT key is pressed, the contact
will be disconnected and the previous configuration will be lost.
