Sounder
Operation
It is possible to suppress or enable beeping of the VAR Router’s front panel fault sounder during
announcements from any fire microphone, as described in the following steps.

2. Move to, and toggle to the required sounder option in the right field:
Error beep with fire mic [Enabled]

Enabled
Fault sounder is enabled during announcements from any fire microphone.
•
Suppressed
Fault sounder is suppressed during announcements from any fire microphone.
Default value:
‘Enabled’
3. Save the changes by pressing the SELECT key, or cancel by pressing the BACK key.
5.8
Remote Fault Output Configuration
It is possible to configure the VAR Router remote fault contact outputs 1 and 2 to drive a remote Fault Panel
in one of the several modes as follows:
•
Fault Active Indicator:
This output is suitable for driving a visual fault indicator.
−
The output is deactivated if no faults are present
A visual fault indicator will be OFF.
−
The output is alternately activated and deactivated when faults are present that have not been
acknowledged.
This will flash a visual indicator when there is a new fault that has not been accepted.
−
The output is steadily activated when faults are present, and have been acknowledged (fault accept).
This will drive a visual indicator steadily ON.
