PrntVars (Print Variables) Utility Program:
PrntVars.exe will print the 6DS-SP files CALVARS.DAT and CALVARS2.DAT to the
parallel printer port. (This was especially useful for early versions of 6DS-SP software which
did not have a calibration variable screen showing the variables a list. Technicians would use
this to print a reference list.)
You can print labels and, optionally, calibration values. If printing values, the program will
request a serial number which will show on the printout. The printout will also show the date
and time currently set in the 6DS-SP computer.
PrntVars does not permit specification of a drive/directory so you must run it from the same
drive/directory that contains CALVARS.DAT and CALVARS2.DAT.
Consider the following examples assuming PrntVars is on the C: drive of a portable computer
in a directory called "UTILITY" and CALVARS.DAT and CALVARS2.DAT is in the root
directory of a floppy:
Example 1:
1) Log to the floppy drive.
2) Type C:\UTILITY\PrntVars to load and run the program.
Example 2:
1) Copy CALVARS.DAT and CALVARS2.DAT from the floppy to the
C drive UTILITY directory.
2) While in that directory, type PrntVars to load and run the program.
