Alarm and Cycle Start Inhibit if Center Protection Enabled and
Conditioning Sweep Hazard Exists or Conditioning Device Diameter
Set to "0":
Version 4.37 adds further protection for the center of the primary table if there is some need
keep it clear. This ensures the primary conditioner can't sweep enough during automatic
cycles to interfere with the center area of the primary table. That area is a circle with a
nominal 1.625" radius.
Calibration Variable 236, previously labeled "TBL1 stroke limit(0:6in,1:1in)", is now labeled
"TBL1 center protection:0-n,1-y". This variable now enables both this conditioning hazard
protection and also the previous oscillation sweep limit of a 1" stroke instead of a 6" stroke.
On the Conditioning/Cleaning Parameters menu, "Cond#1 Device Dia. (if using psi)" will now
show as "Cond#1 Device Diameter". The next line will show one of the following:
If center protection disabled: "(Diameter required only if using psi)"
If center protection enabled: "(Diameter required-TBL1 center protection enabled)"
There are two new alarms (each has the same text):
Miscellaneous alarm #223
"CENTER PROTECTION HAZARD OR DEVICE DIA.=0"
Cycle Start alarm #70
"CENTER PROTECTION HAZARD OR DEVICE DIA.=0"
The alarm condition will exist for any of the following conditions if Calibration Variable 236 is
enabled:
Ex-situ conditioning inner position is too small and either ex-situ conditioning is enabled by
"COND#1 Ex-situ Interval" being set to a non-zero value or the "Cond#1 Ex-Situ
Pre/Post/Once" is set to "Once Only". (Conditioning/Cleaning Parameters menu page 1.)
In-situ conditioning inner position is too small and in-situ conditioning "Cond#1 In-situ
Conditioning" is enabled. (Conditioning/Cleaning Parameters menu page 2.)
"Conditioning Device Diameter" is set to zero. If set to zero, a known unrealistic value, the
software assumes it can't calculate a possible mechanical interference.
(Conditioning/Cleaning Parameters menu page 1.)
Alarm #223 will show continuously (unless a higher priority alarm is showing) until the error
condition is corrected.
Alarm #70 will never show on the screen or be logged in the alarm log because the higher
priority alarm #223 supercedes it. However, if an attempt is made to start a cycle, the cycle
start will be inhibited and this alarm will be reported to a GEM host.
