4.4- CONNECTING TO THE EXTRACTION SYSTEMS
MACHINE STATUS:
positioned in the area designated for its use.
OPERATORS:
1 maintenance mechanic.
THE MACHINE MUST BE CONNECTED TO A DUST AND GAS EXTRACTION SYSTEM (THE
CLIENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING THESE SYSTEMS).
SUCH SYSTEMS MUST BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS IN
FORCE IN THE COUNTRY OF USE. THEY MUST ALSO ENSURE AN EXTRACTION CAPACITY
NOT INFERIOR TO THAT INDICATED IN THE LAY-OUT WITH AN EXTRACTION SPEED OF AT
LEAST 30 M/S.
FOR OPERATIONS ON THE UPPER PART OF THE MACHINE, USE A SUITABLE, SAFE MEANS
TO ACCESS THE AREA (LADDERS, LIFTS, ETC.). NEVER CLIMB ONTO THE MACHINE FOR
ANY REASON WHATSOEVER.
DO NOT CONNECT THE EXTRACTION HOOD FROM THE GLUING AREA (FIG.4-REF.1) TO
THE DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM. MAKE SURE THAT THE GLUE FUMES ARE COMPLETELY
EXTRACTED AND PROPERLY DISPOSED OF DURING OPERATION.
THE PIPES OF THE EXTRACTION SYSTEMS MUST BE ABLE TO DISCHARGE THE
ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE TO THE GROUND.
ANY PLASTIC TUBING USED MUST BE MADE OF NON-INFLAMMABLE MATERIAL.
Proceed as follows:
• Connect the extraction nozzles to the dust and gas extraction systems using fl exible tubes (non-
corrugated inside) of suitable diameter. The dimensions of the nozzles are indicated in the attached
lay-out.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED TO USE THE MACHINE BEFORE IT HAS BEEN PROPERLY
CONNECTED TO THE DUST EXTRACTION SYSTEM AND TO THE GAS EXTRACTION
SYSTEM.
