POSITION MANAGEMENT
The machining units are managed by way of the following parameters.
MACHINE CONSTANT
- They determine the distance between the counting start micro and the unit
“zero”.
The machine constants are displayed in the MACHINE DATA of the machining unit
(s. par.7.5.10.2)
and are password-protected.
CORRECTORS
- They correct the machining error of the unit with respect to the machining defi ned by
the Program position.
The correctors are displayed in the MACHINE DATA of the machining unit
(s. par.7.5.10.2)
and are
password-protected.
PROGRAM DATA
- They determine the machining start or end of the unit on the panel.
The PROGRAM DATA of the machining unit
(s. par.7.5.10.1)
may be modifi ed (they are not password-
protected) even while the machine is in WORK status.
MACHINING positions are expressed in millimetres or inches depending on the selected unit of
measure.
Corrector and program positions may refer to the leading edge (
FIG.43-REF.F
) or trailing edge (
FIG.43-
REF.B
) of the panel.
Once the leading or trailing edge has been established as the “home” reference, it will, be necessary
(by convention) to associate inward unit shifts towards the middle of the panel with a positive value and
outward shifts towards the panel exterior with a negative value.
