• FUNCTIONAL TEST ON THE MOVING GUARD INTERLOCKING DEVICES
MACHINE STATUS: with feed track in motion and empty (with no panels).
OPERATORS: 1 maintenance mechanic or 1 maintenance electrician.
Every 1000 hours (6 months) perform a functional test on the moving guard interlock devices
(FIG.7-REF.1 and 2).
Proceed as follows:
a) Gluing unit door (FIG.7-REF.1).
• Open the door.
• Verify the stopping of the feed track.
• Close the door and verify the track does not restart.
b) Finishing area door (FIG.7-REF.2).
• Verifi y that the locking device does not allow the door to be opened.
• Stop the machine and verify that the door does not open earlier than 10 seconds from the stopping
command.
• With the open door, press the AUXILIARY VOLTAGE push button ( FIG.8-REF.1 or FIG.9-REF.1)
and verify that the push button lamp does not turn on.
IN CASE OF MULFUNCTIONS IT IS MANDATORY TO CONTACT THE COMPANY SAFETY
PERSONNEL IN CHARGE, WHO WILL TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTIONS.
MOVING GUARDS INTERLOCKING DEVICES ARE PARTS THAT AFFECT THE HEALTH AND
SAFETY OF THE OPERATOR. REPLACEMENT OF THE INTERLOCKING DEVICES:
• MUST BE PERFORMED USING ONLY ORIGINAL SPARE PARTS SUPPLIED BY THE
MANUFACTURER (S. PAR. 2.1).
• MUST BE PERFORMED ONLY BY THE MANUFACTURER’S TECHNICIANS (S. PAR. 1.3).
THE INTERLOCKING DEVICE CODES ARE CONTAINED IN THE LIST OF MATERIAL OF THE
ELECTRICAL DIAGRAM (S. CHAP. 13).
