RTE/6.4- TOOL REPLACEMENT
OBSERVE THE INDICATIONS GIVEN IN PAR.5.2.
WHENEVER POSSIBLE WAIT UNTIL ALL PARTS WHICH HAVE BECOME HOT DURING
MACHINING, COOL DOWN BEFORE TOUCHING THEM (30 min IS LONG ENOUGH), TO
AVOID GETTING BURNT.
Proceed as follows:
• Turn the knob
(FIG.18-REF.1)
clockwise. Keep on turning the knob up to its stop at the travel end.
• Remove the right hood
(FIG.18-REF.2)
using the blocking screws.
• Remove the left hood
(FIG.18-REF.3)
using the blocking screws.
•
Block the motor shaft rotation using the appropriate supplied wrench
(FIG.19-REF.1)
.
•
Unscrew the lock nut
(FIG.19-REF.2)
(right thread), using the appropriate supplied wrench
(FIG.19-
REF.3)
.
• Replace the tools, looking out of the rotation direction
(s. FIG.20)
and of the spacer sequence
(FIG.19-REF.4)
(if present).
• Mount the left hood
(FIG.18-REF.3)
.
• Mount the right hood
(FIG.18-REF.2)
.
• Turn the knob
(FIG.18-REF.1)
anti-clockwise. Keep on turning the knob up to its stop at the travel
end.
DO NOT TURN THE KNOB (FIG.18-REF.1) WHEN THE HOODS HAVE BEEN REMOVED.

If the tool geometric features have changed, it is necessary to adjust the milling unit working position
(s. par. RTE/6.2)
and the track feeling pressure (version with track feelers)
(s. par. RTE/6.1)
