RIP/2- TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
The angled bevelling unit removes the excess edging from the upper and lower surfaces of the panel ,
in the phase which follows the gluing operation.
It executes the following machining types:
• thin edging bevelling
(FIG.1-REF.A)
,
• thick edging rounding
(FIG.1-REF.B)
,
It is made up of the following main parts:
•
Upper angled motor
(FIG.2-REF.1)
Supports and drives the tool which acts on the upper part of the panel.
•
Lower angled motor (FIG.3-REF.1)
Supports and drives the tool which acts on the lower part of the panel.
•
Upper vertical track feeler
(FIG.2-REF.2)
It is in contact with the upper surface of the panel. It determines the correct vertical position of the
upper bevelling unit.
•
Lower vertical track feeler
(FIG.3-REF.2)
It is in contact with the lower surface of the panel. It determines the correct vertical position of the
lower bevelling unit.
•
Upper front track feeler (FIG.2-REF.3)
It is in contact with the edging being applied to the panel. It determines the correct horizontal position
of the upper bevelling unit.
•
Lower front track feeler (FIG.3-REF.3)
It is in contact with the edging being applied to the panel. It determines the correct horizontal position
of the lower bevelling unit.
•
Pneumatic cylinder for upper spindle exclusion (FIG.2-REF.4)
Horizontally excludes the upper spindle from the work line.
•
Pneumatic cylinder for lower spindle exclusion (FIG.3-REF.4)
Horizontally excludes the lower spindle from the work line.
•
Pneumatic cylinders for horizontal movement (FIG.2-REF.5) and vertical movement (FIG.2-
REF.6) of upper spindle
They change the position of the upper spindle with respect to the panel (depending on the machining
process).
•
Pneumatic cylinders for horizontal movement (FIG.3-REF.5) and vertical movement (FIG.3-
REF.6) of lower spindle
They change the position of the lower spindle with respect to the panel (depending on the machining
process).
