The extractor hoods
(FIG.17-REF.1 and 2)
and the front track feelers
(FIG.17-REF.3 and 4)
also
perform the function of limiting the access to the tools, except for the work zone.
During machining the unit is protected by the sound-proof cabin.
The sound-proof cabin is associated with a device which prevents the cabin itself from being opened
before the pre-set time interval from the stop control has transpired.
When the cabin is open, the unit cannot be operated.
The unit is equipped with an anti-collision safety system between the unit and the panel in progress.
The correct panel wait position of the lower motor kit and the upper motor kit is sensed by the sensors
placed on the cylinders vertically moving the motor kits.
The corresponding correct position of the panel is sensed by the microswitches (standard control
panel) or automatically (control panel with graphic terminal).
THE MACHINE SAFETY SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED IN PAR. 5.4.
THE MACHINE SAFETY SYSTEMS ARE DESCRIBED IN PAR. 5.4.
RNK/3- RESIDUAL RISKS
RNK/3- RESIDUAL RISKS
In designing and constructing the machining unit, the Manufacturer has implemented all of the
necessary measures for making it safe. However, in order to maintain machining unit functionality,
several potential residual risks may continue to exist.
RESIDUAL RISK
1
Inhalation of wood dust produced by machining.
FREQUENCY OF
EXPOSURE
Low and accidental. There may be exposure should the operator decide to
voluntarily perform an incorrect, prohibited and not reasonably predictable
action. (and/or does not use the Personal Protective Equipment PPE –
s.
par. 5.8
).
DIMENSIONS
OF DAMAGE
Wood dust is dangerous to your health.
Slight (normally reversible) or serious (normally irreversible) injuries.
MEASURES
IMPLEMENTED
The machine is fi tted with extraction outlets to connect to the dust extractor
equipment
(s. par.4.2)
.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (
s. par. 5.8
).
Safety warning signs applied at the dangerous point (
s. par. 5.7)
.
