This work unit rough-machines and trims excess edging from the upper and lower surfaces of the panel
(FIG.1) , in the phase which follows the gluing operation.
It is made up of the following main parts:
•
Upper motor (FIG.2-REF.1)
Supports and drives the tool which acts on the upper part of the panel.
• Lower motor (FIG.2-REF.2)
Supports and drives the tool which acts on the lower part of the panel.
• Upper vertical track feeler (FIG.2-REF.3)
It is in contact with the upper surface of the panel. It determines the correct vertical position of the
upper trimming unit.
• Lower vertical track feeler (FIG.2-REF.4)
It is in contact with the lower surface of the panel. It determines the correct vertical position of the
lower trimming unit.
• Motors exclusion pneumatic cylinder (FIG.3-REF.1)
Optional. Excludes motors vertically from the work line.
The upper trimming unit is connected to the presser for automatic height adjustment based on the
panel thickness.
