Override (Word m+4/m+8, bits 07 to 00) (X/Y axis)
Set the override as an integer from 00 to 20 (BCD), in units of 0.1.

x10

•
This setting represents units of (0.1). A setting of 15, for example, represents a
value of (1.5).
•
The override represents a coefficient of the target speed. If its value is set at 00,
the speed will be taken at face value (100%) and a coefficient of 1.0 will be ap-
plied. If the value is set between 01 and 20, the set value will be multiplied by
0.1 to determine the coefficient. The override can thus be set in increments
from 0.1 to 2.0.
•
If the speed resulting from the override exceeds 250 kpps or falls below 1 kpps,
the speed will be set at 250 kpps or 1 kpps, respectively.
•
The override takes the value at the time START is executed.
•
To change the override, execute CHANGE OVERRIDE by turning ON bit 12 of
word m+2.
•
The override affects accelerations and decelerations as shown in the following
diagram.

CHANGE OVERRIDE (Word m+2/m+6, bit 12) (X/Y axis)
Use to change the override during positioning.
m+2
Use CHANGE OVERRIDE to change the override during positioning.
•
After the override has been set in bits 07 to 00 of word m+4, the change is made
when CHANGE OVERRIDE (bit 12 of word m+2) turns ON.
•
When START is executed with the override enable/disable (bit 07 of word m+1)
ON, the override set at that time is used without change.
•
The CHANGE OVERRIDE command cannot be executed within the same
scan as START. If you want to use CHANGE OVERRIDE with START, be sure
to turn this bit ON before executing START.
The override enable and the CHANGE OVERRIDE command both use bits
07-00 of word m+4, but they operate independently. The override enable applies
an override coefficient to the whole series of operations, while CHANGE OVER-
RIDE is used to make changes during operation. Only the X-axis flag turns ON
during interpolation; the Y-axis flag is ignored. The override is applied to the in-
terpolation target speed (NC211 only).
