If the CW or CCW limit is exceeded, pulse output is possible in only the opposite
direction even after the pulse prohibition has been released. The CW limit is ex-
ceeded here, so only CCW output is possible. The error code and Error Flag are
not cleared. This example uses JOG to clear the Limit Flag, but ORIGIN
SEARCH may also be used.

READ ERROR
The READ ERROR command bit, bit 05 of word m+1, is set to access error and
alarm codes when more than one of these is present (effective on the signal’s
rising edge). Although the operation is explained here in terms of the X axis, the
operation is the same for the Y axis of the NC211.
Error and Alarm Generation
Error flags, alarm flags, and error (or alarm) codes are indicated in the Status
Area (X axis: words s+0 to s+1: Y axis words s+8 to s+9).

Use READ ERROR when there are multiple error or alarm codes. If there are no
errors or alarms when status word s+1 is displayed on the Programming Con-
sole, “0000” will be displayed. If there are any errors or alarms, they will be dis-
played in code. The codes will be displayed in order as READ ERROR is
executed. (If there is only one code, however, the display will not change when
READ ERROR is executed.)
