Pulse output is maintained at the target speed set for the positioning action. The
No Origin Flag turns ON during operation at the target speed. The direction of
the pulse output is determined by the sign that has been set for the positioning
action. When the STOP command is executed, the present position is reset and
positioning is carried out according to the data set for the positioning action. In-
terpolation cannot be used with an interrupt feeding completion code.
Target speed
Time
Start
A: First STOP command
B: Present position is reset and No Origin Flag turns OFF.
Amount of movement to target position (interrupt feeding)
C: Stop
Note: If a deceleration stop is executed again
while a deceleration stop is in progress, the
initial speed cannot be maintained until the
very end.
Note There are delays at various points when using an interrupt feeding completion
code. The delays indicated below occur with the Position Control Unit’s internal
processing, and outputs to the memory area add delays with the scan.
•
A: STOP command
There is a delay of approximately 2 ms with STOP. For details regarding decel-
eration stops, refer to
9-11 STOP and CHANGE SPEED
. (There are two meth-
ods, using interrupt input signals and commands.)
•
B: Present position reset; No Origin Flag OFF
A maximum delay of 2 ms is added to the positioning action.
•
C: Stop
Note that the processing delay between A and B is not indicated for the present
position status. Between B and C, the present position status display is re-
freshed after going to “0.” The stop delay between B and C is shown for the pres-
ent position status as a number, just as it is.
Setting Target Positions
Set the target position set as the number of pulses, or as millimeters or inches.
The setting is made in seven digits BCD, as follows:
Pulses:
0000000 to 9999999
Millimeters:
0000.000 to 9999.999
Inches:
000.0000 to 999.9999
Note The data unit (pulses, millimeters, inches) and pulse rate are set in parameter
addresses 2026 (X axis) and 6026 (Y axis).
