PARKING BRAKE
Parking brake is released when high pressure oil selected by the brake valve portion that is
connected directly to the rear cover (30), is applied to the parking piston (19).
Otherwise the braking torque is always applied.
This braking torque is generated by the friction between the separated plates (18), inserted into the
casing (1), and friction plates (17), coupled to cylinder block (12) by the outer splines.
When no pressure is activated on the parking piston (19), it is pushed by the brake springs (26)
and it pushes friction plates (17) and separated plates (18) towards casing (1) and generates the
friction force which brakes the rotation of cylinder block (12) and hence the shaft (6).
