C onnect the u pper fuel level sensor 2P (Blue) con­
nector.
Install the center cow l (page 3-6).
2P (BLUE) CONNECTOR
UPPER FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
INSPECTION
Rem ove the u pper fuel level sensor (page 22-17).
C onnect the o h m m e te r to the u pper fuel level sen­
sor 2P (Blue) connecto r Red/black and G ray/black
term inals.
Inspect th e resistance o f the flo a t at the fu ll and
e m p ty positions.
Position FULL
EMPTY
Resistance
1 2 - 14 a 1 1 0 -1 3 0 Q
Replace the fuel pum p assem bly if fuel level sensor
is o u t o f specification.
LOWER FUEL LEVEL SENSOR
INSPECTION
Rem ove the fuel pum p (page 6-41).
C onnect the o h m m e te r to the fuel p u m p 3P (Black)
connecto r Red/black and Black/white term inals.
Inspect th e resistance o f the flo a t at the fu ll and
e m p ty positions.

EMPTY
Resistance 5.0 - 7.0 £2

Replace the fuel pum p assem bly if fuel level sensor
is o u t o f specification.
FUEL METER INSPECTION
NOTE:
Fuel level m eter segm ents blink if the fuel level sen­
sor c irc u it is open. In th is case, inspect the upper/
lo w e r fuel level sensor.
