DTC 41-1 (N /D SELECT SW ITCH)
• Before starting inspection, Check fo r loose or
poor connectors on the right handlebar switch

(Gray) connector and TCM 33P (Black) connector,
then check the DTC.
1. N/D Select Sw itch Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the right handlebar switch

P (Gray)
connector.
Check fo r continuity at :he switch side right han
dlebar switch
6
P (Gray) connector term inals in
each switch position.
Connection: N position:
Black/blue - W hite/yellow
D position:
Black/blue - W hite/blue
Is th e re c o n tin u ity ?
YES
- GO TO STEP 2
NO
- Faulty N/D select switch.
2. N/D Select S w itch Input Voltage Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch " O
Measure the voltage between the right handle
bar switch

P (Gray) connector of the main w ire
harness side and ground.
Connection: Black/blue (+) - Ground (-)
Does th e b a tte ry voltage exist?
YES
- GO TO STEP 3.
NO
- Open circuit in Black/blue wire. If Black/
blue w ire is rorm al, replace the TCM
w ith a new one, and recheck (HFT ini
tialization procedure: page 11-93).
3. N/D Select Sw itch Line Open Circuit Inspection
Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector.
Check for continuity between the right handlebar
switch

P (Gray) connector and TCM 33P con
nector of the main w ire harness side.
Connection: A11 (W hite/yellow ) - W hite/yellow
A22 (W hite/blue) - W hite/yellow
TOOL:
Test probe

YES
- GO TO STEP 4.
NO
- • Open circuit in W hite/yellow wire
• Open circuit in W hite/blue wire
